Our Work Get In Touch

ABOUT OUR STUDIO

About our company: RealSpace offers a wide variety of 3D rendering and animation services. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality work with exceptional customer service to clients ranging from large developers to individual homeowners. Our sole focus over the last 16 years has been perfecting the art of 3D renderings.

What to expect: We offer a range of camera options for you to choose from in the form of clay renders. You can request up to three rounds of revisions at no extra cost to ensure the final result meets your expectations.

Your deliverable will be a high-resolution JPEG image, or high resolution video suitable for digital use. If you require an ultra-high resolution for large format printing, we offer an upgrade option.

Customization: We can customize furniture, appliances, and accessories to your specifications.

You have the flexibility to customize the time of day and lighting configuration in your renderings. If you have view photography available, we can incorporate it to increase the level of realism.

Additionally, you have the option to include 3D or 2D people and pets in your images, adding a sense of life to the scene.

Our Architectural Rendering FAQ

How long does an architectural rendering project usually take?

3D renders can take anywhere from a few days to just over a week. Some more complex projects may take a bit longer. Let us know ahead of time if there is a deadline on your project so that we can do our best to fit your schedule.
Pro Tip:

  • Please leave extra time for your project to ensure you can take advantage of our revisions.
  • Make any deadlines you have known upfront.
Who is a typical RealSpace customer?

RealSpace offers high-quality architectural renderings at an excellent value. Our customers typically range from custom home builders and realtors to mid-sized developers and even some Fortune 500 companies.

The industry-wide cost of 3D renders can range from $150 per image to $15,000+.

RealSpace does not go after the cheapest price point. We find our customers would prefer to invest in a higher-quality architectural visualization at a reasonable rate with professional service. We are very respectful of our customers’ time.

On the other hand, we are also not a high-end boutique studio. We offer a big jump in quality from basic architectural renders without charging exuberant amounts of money. Often, the difference in quality between one of our mid-priced renders and one of the much pricier companies is negligible.

How much does it cost?

We’ve created a comprehensive guide to explain 3d rendering pricing, including an interactive pricing calculator. Additionally, we’re always available to provide you with a free quote. Fill out one of our contact forms with some information about your upcoming project, and we will get back to you ASAP.

What do I need to get started?

Generally, a set of architectural plans or engineering files is an excellent place to start. These files allow us to provide you with a quote, and it begins the conversation to find out what your goals and expectations for this project are.

Do I need architectural plans?

Short answer:
No

Long answer:
Architectural plans are ideal but not required. We can work off sketches/drawings or reference photos with some basic dimensions. However, without CAD plans, we cannot be as accurate. With architectural rendering, there is no guarantee of total accuracy. However, when we have plans, we import them into the software we use and can match the plans as precisely as possible.

What are the benefits of architectural rendering?

Better than reality
It can be tricky to get good photos. The best lighting is at sunrise or sunset. In most cases, you need to hire a professional photographer, which can be costly. With 3D images you always get
Good lighting

  • Good weather
  • Green grass
  • Perfect camera angles
  • Fully grown, beautiful landscaping
  • Top-of-the-line furniture staging the interior shots
  • Revisions and refining are part of the process

Offer options
It is usually very cost-effective to create multiple versions of the same image with different finishes and colours.

Ask a higher price
The main selling price benefits of rendering are similar to house staging.

  • Buyers are willing to spend 1% to 5% more of the dollar value on a staged home than a non-staged home.
  • A survey by Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp. found that staged homes sell for more than 6% above the asking price.
  • More about home staging

Start selling sooner
With 3D rendering, you can start selling as soon as the design is complete. Starting to sell sooner can be a huge cash flow benefit.

Market onsite
You can print your renderings on signage at the property and generate some interest in the project. Onsite signage is generally inexpensive, and if you are not ready to sell, you can collect an email/phone list of interested people.

Regulatory board approval
Development applications can be tricky. However, architectural renderings can convince neighbours and regulatory boards that your project is going to be an excellent addition to the community. Neighbours may look at the project as something that will increase their property value instead of construction and noise.

What is your process?

A typical project goes as follows.

  • You provide us with plans, desired materials, and furnishings, etc.
  • We confirm your project’s camera angle(s) either through clay renders or 2D markups
  • We create a draft based on the plans and other information provided
  • We provide three rounds of revisions
  • We send the final high-resolution image
What rendering options do I have?

Camera angle
If you can provide us with an example of a photo or rendering that you like, in most cases, we can match it. Alternatively, if you make a markup of a camera angle on the architectural plans, we can base the renderings off of that.

Time of day and lighting
If you let us know in advance, we can usually match time-of-day lighting and interior and/or exterior lighting.

Landscape architecture
We have an extensive library of vegetation and can match most regions’ vegetation so that it is accurate to landscaping plans.

Furnishings and fixtures
At no extra cost, we can match most interior design styles. However, if you have custom furnishings and fixtures, we can custom create anything needed.

How can I get the best possible results?
  1. Include as much as possible in your plans.
  2. Provide manufacturer specs and/or reference images.
  3. Collect as much feedback as you can for each draft to make the most of your revisions.
  4. Leave enough time. Although we are happy to accommodate tight timelines, it is our experience that projects that are not rushed will produce the best results.
Can you work off a provided 3D model?

We are happy to work off client-provided 3D models.

Format-wise, we can work with all the major software applications:

  • SketchUp
  • Revit
  • SolidWorks
  • 3D Studio Max
  • Maya
  • Blender
  • And more

We do not provide a discount when the client supplies a 3D model unless it is a high-quality scene from 3D Studio Max or Maya. Generally, SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, and other 3D CAD software will need remodeling. However, we can use the provided model as a reference to build a more detailed model, which enables us to ensure we capture everything from your original model plus more.
