A growing issue, especially here in Vancouver, is the difficulty many people are having communicating ideas with foreign real estate investors.  As the number of investors from overseas continues to rise we are faced with new challenges. Often times, even for native English speakers, trying to understand some of the specific construction features is extremely difficult.  Showing plans, sample materials, colour chips, and sketches is helpful however it still leaves a lot to be misinterpreted.  Aside from frustration and time this can also result in costly mistakes.

This medium allows artists to transcend the limitations of physical materials, creating works that are not only visually stunning but also embody a fresh wave of artistic expression.

Since the release of SketchUp by its creators @Last Software in 2000, this 3D modelling program quickly become widely used by industry in various professions. A quick Google search of SketchUp produces various video tutorials on YouTube and many websites, blogs, and articles dedicated to discussions and Q&As. SketchUp attracts many first-time users because of its straightforward interface. The software imitates the traditional drawing process, where the mouse acts as a pencil to draw on the monitor acting as paper. There is even an option to use a stylus and pad that work directly like pen and paper.

A big problem while doing renovations is trying to visualize every aspect of a project before being able to see how it all fits together.  Thanks to our technology we are able to help take some of that guess work out before any costly oversights are made.

This was part of a project to build up 3D modeled decor and props for future use. These turned out particularly well, so we thought they deserved a blog post.

RealSpace has recently been approached by several construction firms to provide before and after photos for upcoming projects. The use of these images has been to show community stakeholders what the project is going to look like after completion.  We are starting to see a trend of 3D rendered images being a requirement for government projects. They are even included in the governments RFP process.
